Default PvP Necro/Mesmer

I need a good Necro/Mesmer PvP build anyone know one?

Right now i am using this:

Soul Barbs
Parasitic Bond
Malaise
Mind Wrack
Faintheartedness
Backfire
Empathy
Price of Failure

i dont think it is a great PvP build, i am just using it in low lvl arenas right now...

Basically you use soul barbs and spam parasitic bond, malaise and mindwrack to do quick DPS then use empathy, faintheartedness and price of failure on warriors and backfire on casters.

Looks like an early game arena deal. Ditch Mind Wrack for Diversion and I'd give it my salute. Faintheartedness with Price of Failure is kinda counter productive so instead I'd suggest trying Enfeebling Blood with Shadow of Fear.

Warriors who intend to do any major dmg will move as a group to their target. So these skills are the warrior bane.

If you're going nec/mes you need to be either using a speciality setup to take advantage of soul reaping or runes (i,e putrid, bip, or oov). Otherwise mes is better.

This setup looks doomed to fail though. You're mixing too much anti-warrior and caster and the skills you have chosen are pretty bad.

Soul Barbs-->very limited skill and not worth it in almost all circumstances.
Parasitic Bond-->trash
Malaise-->Good vs newbs is trash vs good players because of focus switching
Mind Wrack-->Trash, too conditional and the condition is one you can't determine at all.
Faintheartedness-->Trash
Backfire-->Decent but there are better choices
Empathy-->terrible skill
Price of Failure-->Trash

Anti warrior hexes to consider: Shadow of Fear, Enfeebling Blood, Soothing Images, and Sympathetic visage.

Anti-caster skills to consider: Diversion, Power * (spike/leak/drain/block{E}), arcane conundrum, chaos storm, and guilt/shame.

Any necro build should have rend enchants, although that may not be as needed with natures renewal spam it's still good to rend a ghostly hero in the last 30 seconds when trying to take the altar.

One thing you must remember is that if you're playing anti-caster you must not only focus on one whole target or you will be wasting a ton of potential. Mes/nec builds usually fail because people either try to unload every hex they have on one person or they can't shut down enough people because they're going after warriors and casters. For reference though, mesmer is generally anti-caster, necro is generally anti-warrior. Things like empathy will NOT stop a warrior or interfere with them at all.
